Happy New Year!

Five Little Homesteaders Top Posts of 2013

Obviously I am not unique in my desire to reflect on the past year.  I suppose most people like to do this.  So… here I am, reflecting on 2013.

I must say, I am pretty excited to see what 2014 has in store for me.

2013 was a good year.  It was a whirlwind and I’m still not 100% sure what it was all about.  There were no new babies this year (aside from chicken babies, which, I guess count).  There were no moves.  There were no real “firsts” this year.  It was a settling year…. a figuring-out-our-routine year.  It did bring me the start of this here little blog and for that I am grateful.

I really enjoy writing and sharing here.  It has given me some purpose and provided me with some feeling of community.  Stay at home mothering can be very isolating and the jobs one does around their homestead (or simply their home) can often go unnoticed and unappreciated.  However, when you are just living your normal life, doing your normal thing but also snapping photos and sharing what you do with the internet.  Well… sometimes you get noticed a little and sometimes people tell you, “Wow.  That’s cool.”  Which, hey, I have to admit, is nice to hear sometimes.

So, with that said, here are the top 6 posts that I shared from last year.  The ones that got the most “noticed.”  If you haven’t taken a look at these, now would be a great time…. just sayin’.

1.  Homemade Dishwasher Detergent Tablets

2. Homemade Candy Corns without (so much of) the Junk

3.  Coconut Lavender Relaxation Salve

4.  Homemade Fun Size Candy Bars

5.  Super Simple Refrigerator Pickles

6.  Homegrown, Homemade Pasta Sauce

And in case you missed, it, here’s the very first post I wrote on this blog way back in January of 2013.  Seems like a million years ago but was, in actuality, less than a year ago.  Thanks for being here and for reading.  I’m having a lot of fun and I hope you are too.

And just for fun, my kiddos last Christmas and this Christmas…. my… how time flies.
